Reputed rating establishment and Africa’s leading Media and PR firm, Avance Media has announced its inaugural list of 100 Most Influential Young Nigerians.

The list which reflects the achievements of young Nigerians throughout the year 2016 was streamlined in 10 distinct categories which represents key sectors across Nigeria’s economy.

The list which has a gender equity of 34 women and 56 men is an initiative meant to serve as a source of inspiration to young people around the world.

According to Prince Akpah, MD of Avance Media, the initiative which was previously only launched for Ghana is embarking on a continental agenda of leading in sprouting the works and achievements of young people whose immerse contributions are sidelined and Nigeria happens to be part of the first set of countries involved in the ranking.

In rating who becomes the 2016 Most Influential Young Nigerian, the general public is being invited to vote for their most impactful youth on ng.vancemedia.org.

After public votes ends on 20th January, 2017, winners will be announced according to their respective categories before the young person voted as the Most Influential Young Nigerian for 2016 will be announced.

The event which held at the prestigious Escape Night-club, in Victoria Island, Lagos, was attended by Nigerian entertainment industry stakeholders, high net-worth Individuals, accomplished personalities as well as the fans of the singer, who trooped out en masse.

The event which was supported by Johnnie Walker kicked off around 11 pm with a red carpet session during which cocktail provided by the premium whiskey brand. Malawian vs Nigeria: Fortune and Floxy lands duet for African Women

Talented Malawian singer Fortune Favourez popularly known as Fortune on Instagram (@4tunefav) revealed that she is recording with Nigerian born singer Chinwendu Florence Izuchukwu aka Floxy.

According to Fortune the song will be ‘another African cross-country hit’ and she can’t wait for the song to get out there.

“Amazing to be on another African cross-country hit with Nigerian singer Floxy @iamfloxyflora”, she wrote, while sharing a picture of her and Floxy. She further said that the song will show what young African singers across the continent can achieve if they come together.

“We are singing for Africa; we are singing for African women, to show the kind of power we have and that we are proud of who we are”, she said.

Fortune further hailed Floxy’s quality, adding that duet has opened her eyes to the fact that there are still very talented and humble artistes across the continent.

Floxy on her side said: “her voice and the beat moved me. She is such a talented singer and I see it as fun working with her quality”

“When my manager told me about the song, I immediately saw it to a project that will inspire more duets across the continent and it would also be good for cross-country promotions. I have worked with artistes from other countries, but I see this one being special. It will be a mirror for the African girl-child and women; it will show who we are and what we can achieve in a untied country and continent”

The song which is produced by Malawi based Tumel, according to the duo, will be released before the end of 2016.

Imo is set to play host to league of stars in Africa as it hosts the 2016 edition of Africa Modeling Ambassadors' Awards (AMA Awards) on December 2, 2016.

Addressing newsmen in Owerri, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment and Public Affairs, Hon. Chukwunonye Iruno said hosting African Brand Ambassadors is like opening the door of Imo State to the entire Africa and also another way to showcase the tourist potentials of the state as well as the wonderful talents in it.

Hon. Iruno who also said that Imo State is hosting the event as part of the plans of the state governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha to grow entertainment in the state, added that it will not only entertain the state but will also grow the economy as those in hospitality and transportation business will be reaping immensely from it.

Meanwhile, in a release by Prince Chukwu Roland Ogbonnaya, the founder of Africa Modeling Ambassadors described the event as a unique platform that brings brand ambassadors from all over Africa together to appreciate and celebrate them. Admiral Plaza Hotel hosts Mr. & Miss Face of the World and United Nations Fashion Week and Awards

From November 28 to December 3, 2016, Admiral Plaza Hotel Dubai, United Emirates will play home for hundreds of designers, models, awardees and guests as they attend  Mr. & Miss Face of the World and United Nations Fashion Week and Awards 2016.
The two events which were recently announced to have the same date according to the organizers will be boosted by the splendor of the venue and they expect the international guests to see Dubai through it.

Speaking during the announcement of the venue, Hon. Nwabueze Buchi George, President of Face of the World Organization, who are organizing the two events said they have the best of everything and all is now set for the two events to hold successfully.

Hon. Buchi George further stated that “There is nothing to wait for again except time. We are almost there and I must give credit to the team who has achieved what we have on ground so far. What I have in my mind is a picture of glamour and success and we are all optimistic it is going to be so”

Previously, he had said that the visions of the events are still intact and nothing will be changing, adding that the United Nations Fashion Week and Awards still remains what it is as designers, models and awardees are  warming up, while Mr. & Miss Face of the World pageant is still running and will still go on according to plan.

About 30 great achievers selected from around the world will be honoured at the United Nations Fashion Week and Awards which is tagged ‘The Gulf Edition’ and it is expected to also feature fashion exhibition; gala, ball and dinners; live charity concerts; super model search, pattern/sketches challenge and after fashion party.

On Friday 11th 2016, at exactly 2am at Quilox Night Club. Oriste Femi was attacked by a bouncer just because he was trying to stand for an older Colleague  and a friend

According to His  Management  MSN GANG  the Double wahala & Ongba Larami singer was at Quilox on Friday trying to ease off stress with his friends at the VIP corner of the said club when he noticed a senior colleague and a brother Sound sultan and Rock Steady were been bounced from entering the VIP section of the club.Oriste Femi who was not happy with the bouncers behavior stood up to ask the bouncer why he was putting up such attitude to An A list Artiste and a brother, the bouncer replied that An order was placed Down by Shina Peller the CEO of the club that no  A list Artist should be allowed into the VIP section,  claiming the A list Artiste were not his costumers and they have no value at his Club Just because of his rift with Davido [Does that make any sense at all] After which,  The bouncer told him to keep to his section or go join his colleague at the regular section, Femi who we all know to be a very humble and calm person accept the offer to join his colleague at the regular section but was pushed back by the bouncer, Before he could say Jack the other Bouncer was already rough Handling him. Oriste Femi who was holding a cup of wine had to defend himself by slapping the bouncer with the wine cup which gave the bouncer a scar on the face.

Without waiting for Explanation the other Bouncers in the club came in and attack Oriste Femi and in d process of the attack Oriste femi’s  8.5million Naira worth of jewelry was stolen by the club bouncers, before the crowd will stand up to protest against the club bouncers attitude Oriste femi was already injured,Even with the injury he was held down by the bouncer s and the management of the club claiming they were waiting for the arrival of Police.

On the Arrival of police oriste femi and the bouncer were arrested and taken to the police station were the ipo in charge of the case ordered Oriste femi to Threat the injured bouncer which he did and even Gave the bouncer extra cash for self-medication, The IPO also ordered the Bouncer and the Club Management to Provide Oriste femi’s  8.5million Naira worth of jewelry which he Hasn’t received till the Period.

If we all will recur these Same Quilox was the same place Dammy Krane got messed up by Bouncers, these same club was the same club Davido got Confronted  by this same Bouncers

What Kind of Club is THIS? Is that how our beloved Country Ambassadors should be treated?

IDENTITY

My name is Ironsi Francis Chinonso popularly known as Cupid C. I come from Ikwuano Oboro L.G.A, Abia State, but i grew up in Owerri (World Bank Estate precisely)

BACKGROUND

My Nursery and Primary School education was in Nice Children Centre, Area L World Bank and my Secondary School was ASTEC, Owerrinta, Aba Road and Methodist High School Ikenegbu Owerri.
I was studying Architectural Technology in Federal Polytechnic Nekede. I was good in my studies, real good and i my designs were good too but after my ND (National Diploma) i had to drop out to face my quest (musical career).

Life wasn't easy growing up without food on the table. I wasn't born poor but i grew up poor. Growing up, i watched my peers and mates go ahead of me in academic standards and so on. It was a nightmare and it seemed like i had no dream until i discovered what i really had in me, singing Acappela, dancing salsa and so on. Singing in church made me feel strong and important along with my three brothers, playing and singing in the church and we were good in what we did in the church. (People would call me CHURCH BOY)

BEGINNING

I started as an Acappela singer and few years later, i learnt and started playing Drumset and singing in the church with my three younger siblings (We are four and i am the first). My brothers have been my backbone to my level of success.
At some point in life, i was opportune to start doing contemporary Salsa, Javi, Waltz, Chacha, Bachata, Tango and Pop but i wasn't real good in Samba and Bachata because i wasn't always available to learn the steps properly.
I was shortly influenced into fashion designing. I became a model and started designing cloths. This was what i did until i decided to follow and build my dreams which is becoming a musician.

When it seemed like all hope was lost, I still had people who believed in me. No matter what i did, they will always fall in love with me. People that i never expected to love me or my act but they all loved me. So i was favored . At first i choose to answer LOVE but then, i decided to bear the name of the classical god of love "CUPID" and the "C" means Chris.

I love good music but growing up, i loved RnB but now, i love RnB, Soul, Afro, Reggae and Hip-Hop.

I want to sing more about Love, Hate, Money, Jubilation, Redemption and Hypocrisy.

I want to do good music, love people, be a helping hand to people, Be a role model to people, become a leader, be on billboards, get endorsed, have a clothing line, travel all over the world, and i will always value my family, friends and well wishers (fans).

CHALLENGES

Money has always been a stumbling block and a major challenge for me. Getting financial support is a really hard part for every upcoming artiste. Even when people acknowledge your act, it takes more for them to support you financially.

Although my parents are not financially capable to sponsor my career, they have always been there for me, same goes for my brothers, their support has always been constant. I mind how i share my dreams and ideas to people/friends because not every friend or person is actually whom they seem.

ABOUT MY DEBUT SONG

"TURN UP THE LIGHT" is my first track and was inspired to do the song when i attended a friends birthday. I was dancing with a stranger and needed to know who i was dancing with. Had to urge to do the song while i was drawing some portrait.

The song was produced and mixed by profilic producer Yung Roc in Beats By Roc Studios Ikenegbu, Owerri, Imo State.

Agosu Samuel Babatunde popularly known has Samiyo is a musician, a song writer, entertainer and a guitarist from nigeria. He also plays more musical instruments like piano, drum set, flutes etc. he is an RnB, Pop artiste. Samiyo is musically wild to the extends of him doing and touches different kinds of genres from RnB, Pop, jazz, reggae, soul music, country music, afro pop, high life etc. He started his career from his own father's church which is  the shepherd of the church.

Samiyo started has a drummer which he plays drum set at the age of seven in the church for a while then later develops interest in playing other musical instruments like guitar, piano flutes and others etc. All those period Samiyo was a secret singer which he sings to himself privately whenever he is alone, Not until the day they have a choir practice in the church while working on an acapella song which needed to be harmonize with more voices so they had to instruct all the instrumentalist to come join singing at that moment, that's how uncle kayode their choir coordinator discover the glorious voice coming from the little boy Agosu Samuel Babatunde (samiyo)then. That was how his singing career started from one concert to another.

In year 2012 Samiyo won a competition titled "Discover the real voice" organise by Mr Calvin in surulere lagos nigeria.

That same year he started recording his own songs he works with producers like Jay sleek, Wazbeats and mixing engineer like Foster Zeeno etc.

In year 2013 Samiyo had songs like "caress me" produced by Saint uzi which enjoys radio airplays across the country, in that same year he started developing publicity after performing in clubs, events, shows which makes him features in some artistes songs like "mayi" by dakuz, "ju si le" by femzy which enjoys radio airplays and "juru" by an american based artiste named joe Black which enjoys radio airplays in the U.S and nigeria has well etc. Then he attracts the attentions of a record label called Effizy entertainment which he signed a year deal with them.

In year 2014 he had songs like "I bleed your love", Girl oh" both produced by Saint uzi. The song "girl oh" enjoys a massive radio airplay too which really gave him a large fan Base and more recognition. That same year he draws the attention of a label named crispent entertainment which he had a year management deal with them too.

In year 2015 he was featured on a song titled "Finally" by Leesym which still have artistes like leke Anthony, Larivo on the song produced by Xbeat.

And the year was still all about shows here and there which makes him have a strong brotherly relationships with his senior colleagues in the industry, people  like "buchi da comedian, "Igos of wazobia fm" a presenter and comedian etc. Which they love his songs and always support him in there own way all times.

He later had a deal with the fast rising popular Nigeria actress "Sandra Alhassan"

Samiyo did the soundtrack to her TV comedy series soul opera titled "Niegbhour palava" which is coming out 2016 to 2017.

In 2016 Samiyo drop his heavy club banging track titled "Sekosi" produced by Blac prince, mixed and mastered by Brain mix which has been making waves here and there from the streets to the clubs and still enjoying radio airplay till date.

Then he followed it up with his soft dope RnB song titled "Tiffany" produced by saint uzi which gave him a management deal with a label named "kings entertainment" from the U.S

Samiyo and the management are presently working on how the deal well come true soon this year while he is still under the imprint of a management here down in Nigeria named Edden rhythm records.

Mavin's Mega Super Star KOREDE BELLO who is currently on an Europe tour has had his first visit to Istanbul,Turkey where he was welcomed by fans at the airport with his management Crew and team and also touched down ROME ITALY, MALLORCA SPAIN. .

The tour continued  from Istanbul to Rome with Eko Fm Disc Jockey who is also the Official DJ for Korede Bello, DJ Turbo D presently on the tour train. They are scheduled to enroute Paris come 7th October @Le Aron Night Club, Baron.

KOREDE BELLO IS currently nominated for the MTVBASE MAMA AWARDS  with GODWIN as song of the year.

Don Jazzy’s Independence Message To Nigerians.

Dear Nigerians, Let me say happy Independence Day to us all. May God give us the grace to witness many more of it in good health and sound mind. My Compatriots, though our country already at 56, is surely not where we all love it to be yet, but I have a strong hope that we are already on the path to greatness. And that is the kind of spirit I want to urge you all to carry on. There would surely be light at the end of the tunnel for us, let us not lose hope. Notwithstanding, the trying time the country is currently going through, we shall overcome. If truth must be told, to get to the Promised Land, we all have our different roles to play in the project Nigeria. Most especially the youths, because we are the leaders of tomorrow. While that might sound like a cliche, yet I foresee a Nigeria where the youths would be taking over the mantle of leadership in the nearest future. So let us all begin to shun vices of any kind and embrace all that is virtuous. Because that is the surest way we can prepare for the task ahead. As an entertainer who has mixed and worked with fellow artistes from virtually every region in the country, I make bold to say that our unity lies strongly in our diversity. And the more we see ourselves as brothers and sisters, the better for us all. And just like in Supreme Mavin Dynasty where we operate with the philosophy that everyone is borne with a unique talent, if you play your part in the nation building in the area where you are unique and I play mine too, you can imagine the result we would get at the end of the day. Moreover, for project Nigeria to work the way we want, multiple projects need to take place simultaneously in ICT, Health Care, Education, Tourism, Media, Entertainment, and so on in order to open up the goldmines within. I want use this opportunity to call on the Government, NGOs and Corporate Bodies to come together in ensuring that we take this our beloved country to greater heights. We only need to work at it and things would start falling into place in due course. I am very hopeful of that.
